- The huge, gigantic and evil, meanie creature called University choked me out momentarily. – “Help!” I shouted as I got my first breath of fresh air. Gasp! No, university life isn’t all that bad as I made it sound, but it certainly DID gobble me up, alive. Oh no! XD (Only kidding, folks!)

I have Tuesday blues instead of Monday (in fact, I only start lectures after lunch on Monday!). Two two-hour lectures and three one-hour tutorial classes for Tuesday alone! Can they not distribute the schedule in a more evenly manner? T-T So, three out of four days to university I go back after 5pm, but at least we were given Fridays off. Hmm… Does that happen to be a rule for tertiary education? Even my sister who studies at a different college (she calls my university a “rich kids’ school”, lol) has a day off on Friday… Odd! In a GOOD way, of course~ ;)

Met Lam, my good friend. His first response was, “Dammit,” when I asked if he had lecture at a certain time and venue, where my first lecture was held. XD You see, he’s in the January intake, and I’m March. He was in such disbelief our lectures were combining. Gosh, I can’t be such a horrible person that he has such a choice of word. But then again, a single “meow” from me was enough to annoy him so much as to beat me up to a pulp….. So, maybe I should not try my luck so much, eh? Haha!

Made friends with a few people so far, mostly from my class. Though, there were some who were introduced to me by MikO. WOOTZ! A day before orientation, I convinced myself that I was all alone in my course, but MikO came to my rescue. Thank goodness I have a close friend to go through the treacherous three years together! <3

Back to my books! I currently have a four-page essay to complete by Thursday, and this post is nowhere near that length. Sigh!

“A dog has no use for fancy cars or big homes or designer clothes. A water log stick would do just fine. A dog doesn’t care if you’re rich or poor, clever adult, smart or dumb. Give him your heart, and he’ll give you his.” John Grogan, Marley & Me.

John and Jenny Grogan got married on a cold blizzard night, and when John sensed that Jenny wanted to be a mother, his colleague, Sebastian, had suggested that they should get a dog. As a birthday gift for Jenny, John got her a “clearance sale” yellow labrador retriever, in which they named Marley after the singer Bob Marley, to see if they were ready for a family. More than a decade and three children later, Marley started to show signs of ageing, and a second terrible stomach twist put him at his deathbed.

“He once ate an answering machine, just pounced it off. He didn’t chew it, but he ate it, and then digested it. And then he came back for a phone for dessert.” He is not like any other ordinary dogs; and John wasn’t even sure if Marley was a dog, as he told the vet. Marley is a strong-willed yellow “Labradoodle” (as suggested by Sebastian). And he happens to not be the “world’s worst dog,” after all, despite his mischievous behaviours.

YET.
The trials came and past fast enough. Having a one-week break now, but the finals is just around the corner…

Twenty-eight days more to go is the count… Oh ehmm gee, 28 days!

Fragments of memories… ♥
When you feel life is down the drain…
Just stop, and look back at the trails…
From where you came from…

And you’ll see the brighter days,
The colourful rainbows…
The pain and happiness,
Of friends and family…

You’ll never be able to go back,
That’s for sure…
But know that without yesterday,
You aren’t what you are today…

Love you all! — Melissa ♥
