Things Worth Remembering~
Things worth remembering:
The value of time,
The success of perseverance,
The worth of character,
The virtue of patience,
The power of kindness,
and the priceless value of friendship.
This was a message sent by a good friend, since primary school years! :D Wishing you all the best for the exams, yes, it’s knocking on the door already, ain’t around the corner any more, as quoted from JODK~ ^_^ Take care!
Edit: And Happy 12th week~ Haha~ x) It was the 5th when I started the blog~
Trick-or-Treat!
Hello there! Happy Halloween in advanced! As you can see, my blog has been updated with a new look. Not all that new, it’s still very purple! I decided to go with simplicity, a one-column layout, so there’s more space for blog entries! We don’t celebrate Halloween here where we live, but it’s nice to give our friends a scare or two! *dances* Haha~ BOO! 8D
Nothing much to update here about, really, because I just wanted to announce that I am taking a short break from internet. SPM is in less than a month now!! And I am freaking out a little… x_x Also…
Happy Birthday, tsuioku.net!!!
Yeap, the domain will turn 2 years old as of 14th November 2009. And so, the gift is a new layout for you… Haha~ I am going nuts, speaking to something not alive? XD Never mind me… /runsoff
Banana-ism
I am considered a banana, or at least a partial banana. Being a pure Chinese and raised in a family that speaks Chinese, Cantonese and Hakka, I am rather disappointed in myself that I could not speak either one, fluently… I had a discussion with my father one day regarding this, and all he could say was that I was not a banana! That I wasn’t a Chinese, but a Malaysian… <3! He can really say nice things to uplift me sometimes!
After high school, I might take up classes for language, however if I could manage to converse with it, then I would not. Hopefully that is the case! Friends, please continue to purposely insult my banana-ism to improve! XD Alright, perhaps not too harshly, but feel free to speak to me in Chinese… ^_^
Recently, I listened to a few nice Chinese/Cantonese songs, and finally came to know about the song Wei Khong always sing in class… XD Finally…
It’s a really nice song! <3
On a side note, congratulations to Bubble Hosting for the new design! And also to plug that Kya is having a competition, so feel free to join in the fun! ^^ Thanks again, Kya, for your awesomeness! Go start finding the candies, arr! ;)
And it has been raining pretty heavily these days… My room is wet as of right now, while typing this… My legs are quite wrinkled now… I ought to go and clean it up, ain’t I? ^^; I think I should… Hmm… I’m weird that way, no worries! Hahahaha~ XD
Till next time! :)
A month and a half…
Or should it be one and a half month? XD
Whatever the case is, we have another month and a half (that’s the way I prefer it =D ) to SPM!! And though I am panicking (mostly on the inside), when I look at the book, my mind drifts off to some place~ ^^; Sounds like you too? Then I’m glad I am not the only one~ x_x
By the way… Selamat Hari Raya to those who are celebrating!! I went to three open houses in the past three consecutive days~ Feel so full~ XD First was Pn Maslinda’s, then my twin Syaliha, and finally Pn Rahayu. Syarifah didn’t invite me to hers, but oh well~ ^^; Pn Rahayu lives so near me, and I never knew!! +o+ Hema’s birthday party plus Deepavali open house coming soon, and so is our librarians’ farewell party… T_T
Last Friday… Our class had some “congress” of spilling out opinions… I wasn’t very much involved, because I think that I should not back stab anyone~ ^^; Not that they were doing that on purpose, but I didn’t see the point of giving my opinions… Just surprised that some teachers visited to my blog before! Wow… Hahaha~
And finally… Happy Belated Lunar Festival! This is beyond late, I know! XD But… That’s me! (Being procrastinator and all~)
Ah… How I missed the days when we (me and family members, especially cousins) played with candles, by burning every single one of them, especially all the colourful ones~! XD Then getting the melted wax all over the floor or corridor~ *udd* Too bad I missed the celebration this year at my grandmother’s house a week before the day of the festival T_T And got scolded by my mother~ Hehe~ Not my fault! My father is a little reluctant to go and so I have no other modes of transport to go there (no, I haven’t gotten my licence yet~ *cries*)
Anyhow~! I got some nice mooncake pictures I got from the internet… Do not eat your computer screens! XD

Nice dragon classic mooncake!

Girls, not to be mistaken for make up! Teehee~

Colourful cheese mooncakes!

Rose-shaped mooncakes!

(Right) Apple-shaped colourful mooncakes!

And finally, Japanese mixed with the Chinese culture! Bento-style mooncake set~ ^^
Thanks to sparklett.net for the beautiful photos, feel free to visit the original blog post regarding the mooncakes~ ^^
PS: I deleted my FaceBook and Friendster accounts. Nothing can make me turn back!!! Nothing, I tell you~ :D
PSS: Last picture of the day~ Hehe~ I got third placing for our closed bowling competition amongst the bowling club members! This is what I got, received just recently… :D

PSSS: The music players are starting to get on my nerves~ =.= People, please do put autoplay off on default, thanks! Sigh…
Principal’s Awards
Most of my classmates who applied for the Taylor’s College Principal’s Awards scholarship got their reply notification about two weeks before I had mine. And so, I got worried, thinking I might not have gotten it… On 16th September, I got an email saying I was short-listed for the interview on the 26th! I was surprised, but so darn nervous on the day of the interview~ XD I didn’t prepare myself much, but thank god they gave us briefing!
Some of the tips they gave us:
- Have a good first impression (how you dress and all).
- Handshake or friendly greeting.
- They’ll have small talk to calm your nerves.
- Down to the real business!
- Remember eye contact, and smile, too!
- Reflect/think on answers.
The lady who interviewed me had a lot of questions to ask! One after another, too! (Could be because after me there weren’t anyone else~ xD) I was just being myself, as what my mother told me to, and that was her only tip for me, apparently… ^^; She first asked about my email, of all questions? “Why did you choose reminiscence as part of your email?” My favourite word? Hahaha~ XP Then another random questions, and finally she started questioning me about time management and leadership skills qualities… They were a little tough!
“You are the president of the bowling club this year, do you think the club’s management is better under you as compared to the previous year?” and “Do you prefer working alone or with a team?” sort of questions~ T_T Some of my friends who went got only a couple of questions or so, it ain’t fair!! Haha~ But… I got the scholarship anyway… Yay to me!! :D Just received the email today… Congrats to the others who got it too! *dances*

Skipped school today… And hardly finished a model test paper ~ T_T Good luck to all the PMR students! ^_^ Also… To the 5 Science 1 people (other than me XD ) : stop studying oh! Too smart liao~ XP
